The Cossins family proudly hand rear their own Aberdeen Angus, Hereford and Rawstar milking cows on their family farm in Tarrant Rawston, Dorset as well as having their own Farm Shop and Butchery.
Barbara Cossins is so passionate about sourcing local produce that she has developed her own label…. “Love Local Trust Local” which guarantees that all the produce that she sells under this label has been produced within a 30 mile radius.”Keep your food miles low and your taste experience high” is our motto says Barbara.
As well as their award-winning meats, Rawston Farm Shop stocks home-made sausages, meat pies, sausage rolls, scotch eggs and an increasing variety of “home cooked” ready meals. Their expert chefs continue to add to their range on a regular basis.They also stock local free-range eggs, a selection of fresh locally grown seasonal vegetables and a wide range of dried goods, cereals, condiments, sauces, chutneys and preserves all sourced from award winning local producers.
In 2020 they also launched their own food awards scheme for Dorset to promote the idea of The Love Local Trust Local brand.
The Copper Hog - Tenby, Wales
The Copper Hog in Tenby were the first butchers to install the Seasonarians traffic light labelling system in March 2021.The Copper Hog provides delicious meat to their customers and are very passionate about their local produce, bringing the freshest and highest of quality products to their shop.
